SOPHIA'S "TRL" APPEARANCE - UPDATE

We recently got word that Sophia's appearance on MTV's TRL was NOT
aired yesterday, but taped for today's episode.
Since we missed yesterday's TRL we're not 100% sure, however we suggest tuning
into TRL this afternoon ... just to be safe.
Total Request Live (TRL) airs weekdays on MTV at 3:30 PM EST.

Sophia Bush helped promote her latest horror flick The Hitcher yesterday evening
by donating movie memorabilia to Planet Hollywood in NYC's Times Square. The
Hitcher opens in theaters nationwide tomorrow, Jan. 19.
When asked about her "rule of thumb" for hitchhiking, Sophia answered,
"'I have a rule, and it's still the
same rule after the movie: I have the highway patrol in my contacts list and I
call them up if I see somebody stranded and ask them to dispatch an officer.
They get help, I don't get slaughtered. I like to help people, but at the same
time, I like to keep my trachea in my throat."
SOPHIA'S DAY EARLY "TRL" SURPRISE!

Apparently Sophia ended up stopping by MTV's
TRL TODAY,
January 17th instead of TOMORROW, January 18th. We're not sure if it was a last
minute change with Sophia's schedule that made her show up at TRL today
or if MTV just had the initial date wrong (on their website, it too says January
18, 2007).
The semi-good news is, TRL sometimes re-airs the same show late that
night, or early in the morning. Check your local listings to see if it does
where you live.
Also, if you have the channel MTV Hits, it will also re-air at 2AM(est)
on January 18th, or January 19th (sometimes they'll air the episode from the day
before, so Sophia's appearance could be shown on either dates.)

Tomorrow, January 17th -- Sophia Bush will be making some guest appearances in
New York City to promote her movie The Hitcher that hits theaters Friday,
January 19th. At 9am(EST) you can watch her interview on the morning show
Live with Regis and Kelly on the ABC network.
At 5:30pm she'll be heading over to
Planet Hollywood in
Times Square to make yet another appearance. There will be no autograph signing,
but you'll be able to see her and take pictures. We're not sure if you'll be
able to take them WITH her, but you can OF her.

the last few days due to our hectic schedule -- but if you missed the preview,
fear not! MTV has added the movie clip in which the character "John Ryder" aka
the hitcher attacks Sophia's character "Grace" as well as her on-screen

Jimmy Kimmel LIVE in Los Angeles on January 18th, like we posted about this

profile created to promote Sophia Bush's new horror-flick The
Hitcher. The profile is set up to look like a real Crime Scene Investigation
and even has a small report on hitch-hikers, like the movies villain "John
Ryder" played by Sean Bean. If you click under 'View More Pictures' you can also
see crime photos, as well as a fake missing persons report on Sophia and Zachary
Knighton's characters "Grace Andrews" and "Jim Halsey."
The profile also raises awareness that centers around the disgusting and
horrific dangers that can follow hitch-hiking. Whether you're the driver who
spots someone who needs a lift, or you're doing the actual hitch-hiking.
Sometimes when you think someone is willing to help you, you need to be aware
that they could intend to actually do more harm to you, than good.

SOPHIA TO STAR IN "HITCHER" REMAKE

Sophia Bush (Stay
Alive and One Tree Hill) has been cast to play the female lead in the
remake of the 1986 horror film The Hitcher, according to Production Weekly.
Dave Meyers will helm the movie. Meyers has directed of numerous music videos
for such artists as Britney Spears, Outkast, Jennifer Lopez and the Dave
Matthews Band.
Both Jake Wade Wall (When a Stranger Calls and the upcoming Halloween:
Retribution) and Eric Brent (Romeo Must Die) will write the
screenplay
The updated version of the film will follow two young travelers who are
tormented by a mysterious hitchhiker. Production is scheduled to start June in
Austin, Texas.
